Contract and consulting engagements where you need an experienced engineer inside the work rather than a proposal about it. I have worked as a development lead in federal government and as Head of ICT and Engineering in the private sector, so I can operate at the level of the code and at the level of the delivery plan.
What that looks like
Leading a delivery team, filling a senior gap while you recruit, taking on a piece of work your team does not have the specialism for, or reviewing an architecture before you commit to it. Remote, or on site in Canberra.
Areas I go deep on
SharePoint and Microsoft 365, the Power Platform, modern web on Next.js and React, TypeScript across the stack, and integration work where several systems have to agree with each other.
Working with your people
I would rather leave a team better than I found it than leave them dependent on me. That means writing things down, reviewing code honestly, and being clear about what I have changed and why.
